Obituary
Effie Irene Green, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (January 26, 2010) at her residence.
She was born on January 18, 1924, in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of Owen Thomas and Ura White Armstrong. She was a housewife.
She is survived by one son, Everett Thomas Green (Armilda) of Greenville, KY, two daughters, Reba Skaggs (Eddie) and Brenda Huffman (Silas) both of Leitchfield, one brother, William B. Armstrong of Fairdale, KY, one sister, Mary Whittle of Louisville, KY, seven grandchildren, Ricky, Barry, Missy, David and Suzanne Green and Brian and Jessica Skaggs, five great grandchildren, Samantha, Haley and Lauren Green, Ciara Black and Addison Skaggs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rance Green, a son, Edwin Green, her siblings, Lucian and Vernon Armstrong and Berdie McCormack.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. (January 28, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service.
Expressions of sympathy can take the form of donations to Hosparus of Central Kentucky or The Shriner's Hospital for Children, 1900 Richmond Road
