Elaine Kay Smith, age 57, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (May 28, 2012) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, Kentucky
She was born on August 24, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Amos and May Embry Elmore.
She was a retired school teacher of the Grayson County Middle School, a member of the Retired Teachers Association and was a member of the Mill Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Smith Jr., her daughter, Brooke Smith of Florence, KY, one brother, Charles Elmore of Clarkson, KY and four special friends, Sandy and Elsie Brown, Mari Lynn Arnold and Lois Tomes.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday (May 31, 2012) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
