Obituary
Ella Rae Embry, age 83, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Sunday, (September 25, 2011) at her home.
She was born on May 18, 1928, in Mc Daniels, KY, the daughter of Ambrose Ray and Shellie Langley Darnell. She was a housewife and a member of the Smalls Grove Church.
She is survived by her son, Marty Embry (Teresa) of Caneyville, one sister, Ruby Mercer of Leitchfield, four grandchildren, Vanessa Pullen, Joseph Embry, Talisha Kirby and Terrah Lee, two great grandchildren, Jackson Pullen and Noah Kirby and her best friend, Vonnie Lynch. Other than her parents, she is was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan, four brothers, Jessie, Charles, Willie and Johnny Darnell and one sister, Fannie Mae Kiper.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. (September 28, 2011) at the Smalls Grove Church in Caneyville. Bro. Buddy Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.
