Ella Stevenson, age 97, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (November 27, 2019) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on December 21, 1921, in Edmonson County, KY, the daughter of the late James and Maude Browning Poteet.

She was a seamstress who enjoyed sewing, quilting and embroidery. She loved growing her vegetable garden and canning. Her life revolved around her family and her husband. She loved taking care of them and providing a loving home. She was baptized at Church of Joy, where she had attended for as long as she was able.

She is survived by her son, Cecil Stevenson (Margie) of Leitchfield; daughter-in-law Marcella Burba Stevenson of Marietta, GA; grandchild, Lisa Logsdon (Todd) of Glasgow; great-grandchildren, Rachael Higdon, and Tyler and Taylor Logsdon; great-great-grandchildren, Shaina Portman and Landon Higdon; step-grandchildren, Danielle, Travis, Jimmy, Tara, Lindsey, Lee, Ethan, Collin, Christopher and Jeromy; step-great-grandchildren, Joseph, Kayla, Walker, and Mason; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milo Stevenson; son, Harold Dean Stevenson; granddaughter, Pam Stevenson Green; twelve brothers and sisters: twins, Keller and Eller, twins, Edna and Edward, twins, Zella and Stella, Maggie, Lily, Frances, Walter, Noah and Irene.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (November 30, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
