Elmer E. Lee, age 83, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (February 21, 2016) at his home in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on August 14, 1932 in Edmonson County, KY, the son of the late Eugene and Sudie Stevenson Lee.
He was a woodworker who enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his four sons, Charles Randall Lee of Leitchfield, KY, Billy Gene Lee (Barbara), and Philip William Lee both of Millwood, KY, and Charles E. Lee (Brenda), of Caneyville, KY; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; two sisters Lavon Odle (Harold) and Lucille Newton, both from Millwood. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bennie Clapper Lee; seven sisters, Ercie Everett, Clara McCord, Zelma Dennis, Freddie Moss, Martha Vincent, Robey Lee, and Emma Louise Lee; and two brothers, Paul and Otis Lee.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (February 25, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Little Clifty Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
