Elsie "Auntie" Bratcher Layman, age 92, passed away Monday, (March 21, 2011) in Gloucester, VA.
She was born on October 24, 1918, in Grayson Co. KY, the daughter of the late Will and Ella Bratcher. She was a retired sales clerk.
Local survivors include her nieces and nephews, Jenny Bird, Nancy Robinson, Ronny Layman, and Sissy Wallace (Frank). Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David, three sisters, Goldie Decker, Cuba Kinser and Willa Dean Roark and two brothers, Ray and Denver Bratcher.
Graveside services were held in the Vol Layman Cemetery in Millwood KY.
Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield was in charge of the services.
