Obituary
Elsie Lindsey, age 83, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (September 27, 2016) at Norton's Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was a housewife who enjoyed cooking, gardening and her flowers.
She was born on May 10, 1933 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late John and Bennie Basham Roof.
She is survived by her son, Everett Lindsey (Patty), two daughters, Pam Pigg (Jim) and Willodean Jarboe (Jackie), all of Leitchfield, KY; six grandchildren, Christy, Jackie, Robert, Mark, Kevin and Garrett; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Johnny Roof, four sisters, Lois Ann Suman, Doris Decker, Ruthie Johnson and Zona Roof.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Barbara Brenner, Ricky Smith and Roger Smith.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (September 30, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jimmy Douthitt will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
