Obituary
Elsie Madison Ramsey, age 84, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (April 14, 2012) at her residence.
She was born on August 6, 1927, in Edmonson Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late Hershel and Russie Coleman Madison. She was a housewife and homemaker, who enjoyed candy making, quilting and gardening and was a member of the Grayson County Quilt Society, former member of the Grayson County Homemakers and was a 52 year member of the Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Brooks Ramsey of Leitchfield, four daughters, Louise Meredith of Caneyville, KY, Elaine Houchin (Mike) of Leitchfield, Ann Dawson (Steve) of Hope Mills, North Carolina and Phyllis Raymer (Larry) of Bowling Green, KY, nine grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Royce Logsdon.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (April 18, 2012) at the Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Leitchfield. Bro. Bill Macy will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and at the church from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
