Emily LaVerne Wilson, age 80, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Sunday, (March 23, 2014) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on December 15, 1933 in Grayson Co, KY, the daughter of the late Emmett and Dallas Edwards Whitely.

She was a retired bank teller, a housewife and homemaker and was a lifelong Baptist who attended the McGrady Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Lance Wilson and his wife, Rita of Leitchfield, Kevin Wilson of Falls of Rough, KY, four grandchildren, Tia Watson and her husband, James of Leitchfield, Bobby Wilson and wife, Meghen of Henderson KY, Arianna and Reale Wilson of Russellville AL, four sisters, Wilma Cummings (Drexel) and Eva Farris (Lewis) both of Louisville, KY, Anna Keith of Olaton KY, and Brenda Ford (Merle) of Leitchfield, one brother, Larry Whitely (Patricia) of Olaton.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Wilson, one sister, Mary Alice Ford and one brother, Clifford Whitely.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, (March 26, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Gary Embry will be officiating. Burial will be in the Porter Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
