Obituary
Emma Lou Britt, age 84, of Leitchfield, passed away Tuesday, (January 5, 2016) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on March 23, 1931 in Morgantown, KY, the daughter of the late Roscoe and Rosa Woosley Lee.
She was a homemaker, and enjoyed doing needle point.
She is survived by her son, Greg Britt of Louisville; four grandchildren, Phillip, Lauren, Morgan, and Bryan Britt all of Louisville; five great- grandchildren; and four sisters, Pat Porter, Vernita Ingram, Deloris Glenn, and Ruth Embry.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Hugh Britt; son, Steve Britt; and five brothers.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (January 8, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Kenneth Embry will be officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
