Obituary
Emma Jean Conder Close, age 89, of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away Wednesday, (August 2, 2017) at the Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born on November 27, 1927 in Jefferson Co., KY, the daughter of the late Lovel and Lottie Armes Conder.
She was a beautician who enjoyed Yahtzee, board games and playing cards.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lynn Pawley Butler of Leitchfield, KY; three grandchildren, Bryan Butler (Ann), Kevin Butler and Laura Berryman (Tristan); two great-grandchildren, Karah and Kaden Basham; a brother, Robert "Bob" Conder (Shirley) of Leitchfield; and a sister, Delois Smith of Crestview, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Wayne Butler; and a brother, J.S. Conder.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (August 5, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Kevin Butler will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
