Eugene "Gene" Bryan Johnson, age 94, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (November 26, 2019) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

He was born on April 2, 1925 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Claude A. and Janie VanMeter Johnson.

He was a farmer who enjoyed dancing, farming, spending time outside, and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty H. Johnson of Leitchfield, KY; two brothers, Farrell Johnson (Jana) of Leitchfield, KY and Roy Owen Johnson (Cathy) of Texas; two sisters, Shirley Cain of Bowling Green, KY and Anna Lee Watson of Louisville, KY. Several nieces and nephews survive. And several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Corene Logsdon, Ernestine Sego, Geraldine Haycraft; and three brothers, Kenneth Lee Johnson, William A. Johnson, and Arthur Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (December 2, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
