Obituary
Eva Lee Allen, age 90, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (November 10, 2011) in Leitchfield.
She was born on July 6, 1921, in Butler County KY, the daughter of the late Amos and Birdie Hudson Swift. She was a retired aide at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center and was a member of the New Harvest Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Hunt (Herbert) of Leitchfield, one sister, Madine Smith of Caneyville, three grandchildren, Sherry Meredith, Shelia and Tim Dotson, five great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Allen.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (November 12, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Bro. Arland Benningfield officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
