Eva Sue Justis, age 45 , of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (December 10, 2022) at Grayson Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.

She was born on January 31, 1977 in Ohio County, KY, the daughter of Peggy Salmon Embry and the late Vernon Embry.

A friend to everyone she met, Eva enjoyed playing and talking on her phone, selling Avon & Tupperware, and socializing. She was a member of Zion's Harmony Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Justis of Leitchfield; two sisters, Raechel Brooks (Jason) of Caneyville & Christa Lush (Ricky) of Clarkson; her mother, Peggy Embry of Caneyville; and four nieces and nephews, Seth & Aiden Brooks and Kylie & Ryder Lush. Her beloved pets Bear and Morris also survive.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (December 19, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jeff Dennis will be officiating. Burial will be in the Bates Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
