Obituary
Eva M. Carter, age 102, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (July 19, 2011) at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield.
She was born on March 21, 1909, in Breckinridge Co, KY, the daughter of the late Cornelius Green and Sallie Kathryn Conder Pierce. She was retired from Enro Shirt Company and was of the Cumberland Presbyterian Faith.
She is survived by step-daughter, Izetta Shain (Charles) of Delaware, two nephews, James Pierce (Sherry) of Texas and Larry Pierce of Ohio and two step-grandchildren, Julie and Janet Shain. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Carter, three brothers, Dennie, Morris and Allen Russell Pierce.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (July 23, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Rob Harris will be officiating. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, KY.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
