Obituary
Ewell K. Skaggs, age 82, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Tuesday, (May 30, 2017) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on June 29, 1934 in Grayson County, KY the son of the late Henry and Lillie Nichols Skaggs.
He was a retired truck driver who enjoyed hunting, gardening, and was very good at working on cars. He was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Chain Skaggs of Clarkson, KY; two sons, Joe Skaggs of Clarkson, Gregory Skaggs (Lisa) of Leitchfield; two grandchildren, Rebekah Skaggs of Clarkson and Zachary Skaggs of Leitchfield; one sister, Uleta Richardson of Big Clifty, and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Wayne Skaggs; two brothers, Loy T. and Sherman Skaggs; two sisters, Wilma Manion and Agnes Hawkins.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (June 2, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Thomas Meredith and Bro. J. H. Manion will be officiating. Burial will be in the Clarkson Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
