Florence Farris, age 95, of Shrewsbury, KY, passed away Monday, (March 22, 2010) in Shepherdsville, KY.

She was born on August 5, 1914, in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of the late Charlie and Anna White Cook. She was a housewife and was a member of the Beech Grove United Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Aline Seaton (John) of Shepherdsville, five sons, Jimmie and Raymond (Linda) Farris both of Shrewsbury, Russell (Dean) and Walter (Judie) Farris both of Ready, KY, and Shirley (Mary) Farris of South Carolina and ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Tim Farris and one son, Jessie Farris.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday CDT (March 25, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jerry Weedman will be officiating. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CDT Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
