Obituary
Floyd Lee Gaskins, age 79 of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (February 10, 2015) at Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on March 6, 1935 in Fulton Co., KY, the son of the late Odie Lee and Lois Johnson Gaskins.
He was a retired truck driver, who enjoyed cleaning his truck and watching westerns and baseball on TV. He was a member of the West Baptist Church in Hickman, KY.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Gaskins of Leitchfield, KY; one son, Gregg Gaskins (Tami) of Leitchfield; three daughters, Kristi Powell (Buddy) of Hickman, KY; Candy Gaskins (Steve Bird) of Millwood, KY; Teresa Bush (Tim Higgs) of Hudson, KY; a step-daughter, Tammy Meredith of Leitchfield; a step-son, Paul McKnight of Elizabethtown, KY; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren. A twin brother, Lloyd Gaskins (Catherine) and a sister-in-law Imogene Gaskins both of Hickman, KY, also survive.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter Joyia Gaskins and two brothers, Jimmy and Buddy Gaskins.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (February 13, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Henry Collison will be officiating. Burial will be in the Claggett United Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
