Obituary
Floyd Hayes, age 63, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Wednesday, (May 15, 2013) in Caneyville, KY.
He was born on June 18, 1949 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Roosevelt and Girldon Geary Hayes.
He was a self-employed logger, who enjoyed fishing, and riding his four-wheeler.
He is survived by one daughter, Melinda Weedman and her husband, Alan; one son, Sean Hayes and his wife, Marsha, all of Caneyville; one sister, Earlene Hayes of Louisville; three grandchildren, Tarrence Weedman, Haley and Caleb Hayes; one great-grandchild, Ryder Weedman.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ava Jean Dennison Hayes; three brothers, and three sisters.
Cremation was chosen.
A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, (May 25, 2013) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Visitation will be from 10:00a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
