Obituary
Floyd Edward Stone, age 84, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (July 23, 2011) at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield.
He was born on December 7, 1926, in Leitchfield, KY the son of Virgil Lee and Roxie Harris Stone. He was a WWII veteran, a member of the Calvert Community Church where he was an Honorary Deacon and Trustee; he was united in marriage to Doris Montgomery on April 13, 1955.
He is survived by his wife, Doris of Leitchfield, two sons, Dennis and Lisa Stone and Alton and Marilyn Stone both of Clarkson, two brothers, Irvin Stone of Leitchfield, Murrell Stone of IL, one sister, Betty Lou Miller of Leitchfield, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, He is preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Catherine Carman, seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (July 26, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. JR Smiley will be officiating. Burial will be in the Eveleigh Cemetery.
