Fran Carnahan, age 73, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (May 7, 2014) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on May 21, 1940 in Breckinridge Co., KY.
She was a Daycare provider for Play Zone, who enjoyed working with children, especially babies and gardening and she was a member of the Clearview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Carnahan, her children, Marilyn Hart, of Brandenburg, KY, Thomas Wayne Ashby of Louisville, KY, Anna Alvey of Lebanon Junction KY, Mike Carnahan of Lawrenceburg KY, Melissa Goodrich of Clarkson, KY and David Carnahan of Louisville, her grandchildren, Heather and Alec Ashby, Natalie and Kara Hart, Rachel, Neal, Olivia, and Luke Alvey and 6 other grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tom Ashby and a grandchild, Seth Carnahan.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (May 10, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Vol Layman Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
