Frances Theodore Snyder, age 88, of Millwood, KY, passed away Friday, (September 20, 2019) in Millwood.

She was born on March 23, 1931, in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late William H. and Minnie Marie Pruitt Fox.

She was a home-maker who enjoyed sewing, working word puzzles, cooking and crocheting. She married her late husband, James Elmer Snyder, on November 20, 1948. She was a former member of Eastern Star. She was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years.

She is survived by her sons, James Snyder, Jr. (Patricia) of Millwood, Barry Snyder (Shirley) of Leitchfield, and Jonathan Snyder (Melissa) of Bowling Green; daughters, Elizabeth Roof of Millwood, Tona Lindsey (companion, Jeffrey McDowell) of Leitchfield, Ada Nugent (Dennis) of Leitchfield, and Sandra Carter of Leitchfield; 19 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Elmer Snyder; grandchildren, John Eric Lindsey, Jeffery James Roof, James Tolbert Otto Lindsey and Dennis D. Nugent; and son-in-law, Eugene Lindsey.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (September 23, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Troy Miller and Bro. James Snyder, Jr. will be officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
