Frances Tomes Decker, age 84, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (July 25, 2026) at Springview Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.

She was born on December 21, 1941 in Ready, KY, the daughter of the late John and Dora Gary Tomes.

She was a seamstress who enjoyed fishing, bowling and working in her flowers, and was a long time member of the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Beth Bailey (Joe) and Dwane Decker, both of Leitchfield; three grandchildren, Jessica Bailey, Jaxon Higdon and Bailey Logsdon (Nick); a great-granddaughter, Riley Bailey sisters, Kay Hegedus of Louisville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Thomas Decker and a sister, Nelda Daugherty

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, (August 04, 2026) at the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Broadway Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday and at the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
