Francis "Fran" Howard Lazausky, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (May 28, 2020) at Grayson Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.

He was born on February 06, 1939 in Utica, NY, the son of the late Jack and Alice McGuire Lazausky.

A Veteran of the US Army, he worked as an EPA Coordinator for Vermont American and as a lineman for MTD. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and reading and was a member of the Senior Bowling League and a former member of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Johnson Lazausky of Leitchfield; two sisters, Thelma Gainey of West End, NC & Mary Ann Roberts of Washington D.C.; two sisters-in-law, Sarah Manion and Martha Terry; two brothers-in-law, Gordon and James Johnson; and three special lifelong friends, Edward Pittman of New York, NY, James Pittman of California, and Nick Jamsiuk of Utica, NY. 13 nieces and four nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Roberts and Joseph Lazausky; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Clark.

A private Graveside Service will be held with a Memorial Service to follow at a later date.
