Obituary
Freeda Maxine Stevenson, age 83, of Hudson KY, passed away Saturday, (August 18, 2007) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She was born on June 27, 1924, in Butler County, KY, the daughter of Dave and Mamie Elder Embry. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Centerview Community Church.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Murray Stevenson, Sr., one son, Rev. Murray Stevenson, Jr. (Barbara) of Hudson, and one foster son, James Dudgeon (Mary) of Harned, Ky, two daughters, Brenda Smiley (Leroy) of Hudson, and Sherry Childress (Charles) of Caneyville, KY, one brother, Wendell Embry of Quality KY, three sisters, Bonnie Wooldridge, Wanda Grise, and Nell Givens all of Butler County, KY, eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and a step mother, Flora Embry.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (August 21, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Murrell Meredith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Coyle Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, and after 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
