Gary Higdon, 59, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (September 21, 2012).

He was born on August 4, 1953 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Wilbert and Geneva Hill Higdon.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards.

He is survived by two daughters Angela and her husband Randy Bradley and Veronica and her husband David Masden both of Leitchfield, KY, 7 grandchildren, David (Bethany) Masden, Brittany Masden, Kaylee Masden, Colton (Jamie) Oller, Amber Oller, Shana and Garrett Bradley, four great grandchildren, Alison, Jaren and Jamie Masden and Hunter Oller, a brother, Donnie Higdon of Clarkson, KY, six sisters, Sue Harp, Darlene Kerr and Ellen Schrader of Leitchfield, Lynn Carroll, Rhonda Williams both of Clarkson, KY, and Christy Anderson of Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce and Dennis Wayne Higdon and a nephew, Jeffrey Anderson .

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, (September 25, 2012) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
