Obituary
Gary Reed Lindsey, age 53, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (February 19, 2011) at the Norton's Hospital in Louisville.
He was born on May 15, 1957, in Jefferson County, KY, the son of Delmar L. and Louise Weedman Lindsey, Sr. He was a construction worker and a member of the Claggett United Baptist Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Crystal Lindsey-Higdon; one son, Stephen Lindsey; his mother, Louise Lindsey all of Leitchfield; two sisters, Alice Smith (Phillip) of Clarkson, Linday Wilkins (Freddie) of Caneyville; three brothers, Paul Lindsey of Leitchfield, Mark Lindsey of Louisville, Delmar Lindsey, Jr. of Lebanon Junction; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife Elizabeth Hodge. He was preceded in death by his father Delmar L. Lindsey, Sr., and his grandparents, Edward and Mary Weedman, and Robert and Dora Lindsey.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday (February 21, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Billy Bertram will be officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Monday.
