Obituary

Geneva Booth, age 89, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (March 12, 2021) at the Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

She was born on October 1, 1931 in Russell County, KY, the daughter of the late Clarence and Lula Hadley Coffey.

She was a retired after-school child caretaker of the Grayson County School System who enjoyed dog-sitting, crossword puzzles, computer games, sewing and attended at the Potter's Hope Church in Leitchfield.

She is survived by her one son, Jim Booth (Christy) of Leitchfield, KY; three daughters, Nancy Reich (Pete) of Big Clifty, KY, Sue Mattingly (Rex) of Millerstown, KY, and Kathy Clemons (William) of Leitchfield, KY; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one sister, Beulah Houston of Springfield, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Booth; one brother, Jim Coffey; three sisters, Pauline Grider, Camilla LaFavers and Ruth Corea; and one infant great-granddaughter, Shelbi Ward.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (March 19, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
