Geneva Preston age 88, of Caneyville KY, passed away Saturday (July 21, 2007) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield KY.
She was born on January 1, 1919 in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of Otha and Ada (Stintson) Cureton .
She was a devoted housewife, loving mother, grandmother and homemaker.She attended Small's Grove Church.
She was survived by two daughters, Renorma (Bryan) Beatty, of Caneyville, and Edwina Richardson of Louisville, two sons, Echoles Jr.(Freda) of North Carolina, and Dewayne(Betty)Preston of Caneyville, two sisters, Myrtle Tomes of Louisville, Pauline Wright of Frankfort, nine grandchildren,14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Echoles Preston, two sons, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday (July 23, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville, with Bro. Gary Embry officiating. Interment in the Rabbit Flat Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, from 9:00 AM until time of service on Monday.
