Obituary
Geneva Thompson, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (April 5, 2007) at the Springview Health and Rehab in Leitchfield.
She was born on February 25, 1926, in Hart County, KY, the daughter of Walter Lee and Mary Elizabeth Smith Reams. She was a housewife and homemaker and was a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Manion (Harold) of Clarkson, KY and Debra Lynn Hensel (Jim) of Leitchfield, one son, Boyd Steven Thompson (Jeanean) of Leitchfield, one brother, Curtis Lee Reams of Leitchfield, one sister, Doris Flowers of Clarksville, IN, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one step grandchild and 3 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orley, three brothers, Lester, Chasteen and Hershell Reams and one sister, Lavelle Wilson.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday (April 9, 2007) at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, under the direction of the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Verles Logsdon and Ab Stanton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mulberry Flats Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon on Monday.
