Geneva Birdsong Williams, age 83, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (June 22, 2021) at Springview Nursing and Rehab.

She was born on May 9, 1938 in Madison County Alabama, the daughter of the late Cleve and Eula Kuikendull Birdsong.

She was a loving wife to her late husband, Eugene Williams and a wonderful mother to her five children. She enjoyed sewing, dancing and music. She was a member of Sulpher Wells Missionary Baptist Church for 57 years.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Beardmore (Joe) of Clarkson and Karen Denise Haynes (Bradley) of Leitchfield; three sons, Mark Williams (Gail) of Clarkson, Roy Williams (Sharon) of Leitchfield, and Quentin Williams (Brenda) of Bee Spring; sister, Peachie Phelps (Al) of Maryland; six grandchildren, Amanda Nevitt, Mark Williams (Kristina), Kelli Deviney (Aaron), Erich Haynes (Larissa), Tyler Williams and Ellie Lindsey; and seven great-grandchildren, Dathan Meredith, Gabrielle McCarty, Cody Roof, Gavin Williams, Braydan Nevitt, Bennett Haynes and Stella Deviney.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Williams, grandson, Matthew Roof and sister, Mildred Kessinger.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (June 25, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Tony Thomas will be officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
