George S. Butler, age 92, of Leitchfield, KY, died in his home Friday, (October 19, 2007) with his family at his side. He was a farmer and a father of ten children. He loved tending his land, spending time with his family, and stopping to talk with any old friend who came along. He is survived by his wife of 71 years.

He was born on November 04, 1914 in Breckinridge County KY, the son of Forest and Lydia (Leslie) Butler.

He is survived by his wife Lena, four sons: George H. (Mary Jane), Justis (Pat), Larry (Helen), Darrell (Irene), six daughters: Ramona Stinnett (Robert), Winnie Combs (Bruce), Betty Kiper (Hubert), Jacyl Dupin (Stanley), Judy Bullock (Eddie), and Wilma Bates (Larry), all of Leitchfield. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by I grandson, Jason Butler.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday (October 22, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Murrell Meredith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
