Obituary
George "Bob" Heil, 83, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday,
(May 21, 2017) at Kensington Center in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was born on February 26, 1934 in Louisville, KY. the son of the late Edward and Eva Bush Heil.
He was retired from Louisville Mill Supply and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. He was ordained a deacon on January 16, 2000. He was a member of Masonic Surburban Lodge #740.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Joyce Heil, of Leitchfield; two sons, Robert Daniel Heil (Donna), of Elizabethtown, Ky. Timothy Paul Heil of New Albany, Indiana; one daughter, Karen Lynn New (Alan) of Rineyville, Ky; 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Douglas Heil, and one sister, Dorothy Guenthener.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Heil.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (May 26, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Joe Dowell will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.
A masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday (May 25, 2017) at the funeral home.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
