George Lohden Jr., age 82, of Leitchfield, KY, formally of Glasgow, KY, passed away Tuesday, (November 20, 2007) at the Springview Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.

He was born on November 6, 1925, in Glasgow, KY, the son of George Lohden Sr and Clara Emma (Bradford) Lohden. He was a retired barber, a World War 2 army veteran, a bowler with the Senior Bowling League, a member of the Leitchfield Masonic Lodge # 236 and was a member of Leitchfield First Baptist Church.

He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Faye Lohden of Leitchfield, one sister, Grace Watkins of Glasgow, KY, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Manova and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (November 24, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the New Salem Methodist Church Cemetery in Glasgow, KY. Masonic services will be on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home by the Leitchfield Masonic Lodge.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
