Obituary
Georgia Rhe Bell, age 95, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (January 15, 2017) at Kensington Rehab Center in Elizabethtown, KY.
She was born on October 18, 1921 in Grayson County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Beulah Vincent Newton.
She retired as a cook from Grayson County Schools and was a 53 year member of the New Hope General Baptist Church, who loved country music, traveling and people watching.
She is survived by two sons, Edgar Gus Bell (Sue) and Harold Bell (Kathy) both of Leitchfield, KY; two daughters, Sharon Bland (Billy) of Shrewsbury, KY, and Reta Bell Duncan of Leitchfield; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kelvin and Ottie Tomes of Peonia.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Bell; and her brother, Hershell Newton.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (January 20, 2017) at the New Hope General Baptist Church in Sadler. Bro. Joe Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and will move to New Hope General Baptist Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
