Gertrude Stinnett Carroll, age 83, of Anneta, KY, passed away Saturday, (December 10, 2016) at her home.

She was born on February 14, 1933 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Forest and Mollie Cook Stinnett.

She was a housewife and a 50+ year member of Anneta United Baptist Church who enjoyed cooking, planting flowers, going on vacation and visits from her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Carroll (Sheila), from Clarkson, KY, Michael Carroll (Peggy), from Elizabethtown, KY; three daughters, Margie Carroll from Leitchfield, Janet Thomas (Alan), of Olatin, KY, and Julie Carroll of Anneta; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Carroll, one son, Douglas Carroll, one brother and several sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, (December 13, 2016) at the Anneta United Baptist Church. Bros. Jerry Weedman, Thomas Meredith and Chris Conder will be officiating. Burial will be in the Anneta Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and will move to the Anneta United Baptist Church for visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday and 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of services.
