Gilbert Thomas Shaw, Jr., age 76, of Big Clifty, KY, passed away Friday, (August 29, 2025) at his home.

He was born on December 06, 1948 in Knoxville, TN, the son of the late Gilbert Thomas Sr., and Mildred Irene Kirby Shaw.

He was a master electrician and a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sarah Lacefield Shaw of Big Clifty, KY; a son, Tim Shaw (Leigh); a daughter, Terena Sowards, both of Knoxville, TN; two step-daughters, Beth Woosley Harper (Toby) and Lora Logsdon, both of Leitchfield; three grandchildren, Taylor Bailey (Cody). Reagan Shaw, & Matthew Sowards (Emeri) all of Knoxville; seven step-grandchildren, Aubrey Alvey, Dylan Kinchelo, Paul & Matthew Peterson; Kiera Quiroz (Emilio), Kylie Logsdon & Caitlyn Woosley; three great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Billy and Donny Shaw. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Michael Woosley; a brother, Jimmy Shaw; and a half-sister, Tammy Dawson.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.
