Glenda Pierce, age 79, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (May 25, 2026) at her residence.

She was born on April 6, 1947 in Grayson County, KY the daughter of the late Kendrick and Pearl Embry Penner.

She was a true Republican who enjoyed keeping up with politics through Fox News, enjoyed pulling weeds as a hobby, gardening, traveling via cruises, crocheting, playing candy crush on her phone, and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two daughters; Annette Geary (Max), and Bonnie Pierce (Greg), both of Leitchfield; six grandchildren, Taylor Russell (Brandy), Lyndsea Price (Grover), Jessie Tyler Higdon (Kelsi), Madison Geary (Patrick), Maximus Geary, and Olivia Sweeney; six great-grandchildren, Gage, Abby (Taylor), Brody, Emma, Shayne, Violet; three great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Penner (Ann), Bobby Penner (Alice), Joe Penner (Shirley); two sisters, Phyllis Haycraft (Phillip), and Judy Langdon. She is also survived by a special friend Carolyn Lynch along with several nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Murrel Penner, and a brother in law Rev. Phillip Langdon.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (May 29, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Mickey Coates will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday (May 28) and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
