Glendon Phelps, age 82, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (May 7, 2011) at Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on May 26, 1928, in Grancer, KY, the son of James Ira and Claudie Embry Phelps. He was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by two daughters, Norene Steidinger (Charles) of Pennsylvania and Patricia Bruederle (Charles) of Louisville, one son, Michael Matthew Phelps of Bowling Green KY, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Phelps and six children, Glenn, Larry, Linda, Tommy, Alice and Terry Phelps.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. (May 10, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
