Obituary
Glenn L. Tilford, age 74, of Falls of Rough KY, passed away Saturday, (October 29, 2011) at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY.
He was born on October 15, 1937, in Short Creek, KY, the son of Ormond Robert and Catherine Carter Tilford. He was a retired Kentucky State Trooper and detective, a former Grayson County Judge Executive for two terms, a Veteran of the US Navy and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Smith Tilford, one son, Todd Tilford (Lidija) of Minot, North Dakota, one daughter, Deborah Tilford of Gallatin, TN, one granddaughter, Chelsea Hurley, and two brothers, Dan and Jerry Tilford of Falls of Rough. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Tilford.
Cremation was chosen and there will be a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday (November 2, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.
