Obituary
Gracie Lee Scalf, age 100, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (October 19, 2013) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center, in Leitchfield.
She was born on October 29, 1912 in Edmonson Co., KY, the daughter of the late James Wesley and Phoebe Jane Hack Hayes.
She was a retired Nurse's Aide at Grayson Manor Nursing Home and a 53 year member of the Leitchfield First General Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Lottie Phillips (Paul) of Alpharetta GA, a daughter-in-law, Catherine Scalf of Colorado, four grandchildren, Clyde Scalf III, James Edward Scalf, Paul Phillips III and David Phillips, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild along with many nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Clyde Scalf Sr., a son, Clyde Scalf Jr. eleven brothers and sisters, William M Hays, Oliver, Howard and Chester Hayes, Enolia Decker, Maggie Cockrill, Elnora Cockrill, Mary Vincent, Eliza Vincent, Lois Johnson, and Alice Marie Dennison.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (October 26, 2013) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Scott Bratcher will be officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
