Harold Cleve Hall, age 93, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Wednesday, (May 13, 2026) at Grayson Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on January 29, 1933 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late William and Fannie Duncan Hall.

A Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army, Harold was a farmer who enjoyed playing golf, bird hunting, watching UK Basketball and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a longtime member of the Free Zion General Baptist Church where he served many roles, from secretary, to treasurer, and to being a dedicated deacon for more than 40 years.

He is survived by his sons, James Hall and Donnie Hall (Anna) both of Caneyville; a daughter, Allison Helm (Chris) of Leitchfield; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; many great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Hall of Caneyville; and three sisters, Wilma Fields of Memphis, IN, Beth Dye of Bowling Green, KY & Mary Shadwick of Owensboro, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Frances Smith Hall; a daughter, Stacy Hayse; a grandson, Matt Hall; a granddaughter Joanie Bitsky; four brothers, Freddie, Archie, Clyde & Paul and two sisters, Flora Nell and Myrtle.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, (May 20, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Glendon Geary and Bro. Charlie Lacefield will be officiating. Burial will be in the McGrady Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
