Harold Ray Lacefield Sr., age 58, of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away Friday, (January 29, 2010) at the Breckinridge Health, Inc in Hardinsburg, KY.

He was born on July 31, 1951, in Butler County, KY, the son of Howard Lacefield and Freda Embry. He was a Machinist for Vermont American.

He is survived by two sons, Vincent Lacefield of Caneyville, KY and Harold Obie Lacefield of Hardinsburg, KY, two daughters, Shawn Knapper of Taylorsville, KY and Sarah Lacefield of Caneyville, KY, his father and step-mother Howard and Barbara Lacefield of Welchs Creek, KY, four brothers, Larry and Kenneth both of Morgantown, KY and Ricky and James Lacefield both of Caneyville, KY, four sisters, Kaye Hodges and Joyce Vincent both of Morgantown, KY, Wanda Cole of Fordsville, KY and Kristi Greenfield of Caneyville, KY and 3 grandchildren Sierra Knapper and Hope and Nolan Lacefield. He was preceded in death by his mother Freda Embry.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (February 2, 2010) at the Free Union General Baptist Church. Bro. Timmy Embry will be officiating. Burial will be in the Geary Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and at the Free Union General Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.
