Harold Jay O'Connell, age 63, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Monday, (July 25, 2011) at his residence.

He was born on June 25, 1948, in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Arnold and Ann Nicey O'Connell. He was a retired Millwright, a member of Millwright Local 1031, the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, Kosair, the Falls of Rough VFW 3852 and the Grayson County Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Sandie Gorsegner O'Connell, two daughters, Shannon Husband (Gary) and Wendy Husband (Mike) both of Falls of Rough, two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Scott Husband of Falls of Rough, a sister-in-law, Suzie Gorsegner of Falls of Rough, three sisters, Alicia Hazelwood, Sandy and Teresa McStoots, two brothers, Carl and Gerold O'Connell.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday (July 29, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Dr. David Adams will be officiating. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery in McQuady, KY. Masonic services will be on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
