Harold Dean Stevenson, age 72, of Marietta, GA passed away Monday, October 24, 2016.

He was born on December 29, 1943 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Milo and Ella Poteet Stevenson.

Mr. Stevenson moved to Marietta, GA, 26 years ago. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and was an honorary member of the American Legion Post #81 in Kentucky. He loved bird hunting, golf, basketball, baseball, and the University of Kentucky sports teams, especially the basketball team.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Marcella Stevenson of Marietta, GA; two children, Christopher Elliott Burba (Kirstin) of Hiram, GA and Jeromy Joseph Burba of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren, Joseph and Kayle Burba, of Marietta, GA and Walker Kuehn and Mason Burba, both of Hiram, GA. His mother, Ella Stevenson of Leitchfield, KY and a brother, Cecil Stevenson (Margie) of Leitchfield, KY also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, Milo Stevenson.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Sunday, October 30th at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, KY. Burial will follow at Leitchfield Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 8p.m. on Saturday, October 29th, and from 9 a.m. Sunday until time of service.
