Harry Lee Cannon, age 68, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (June 14, 2021) at his residence.

He was born on August 6, 1952 in Ohio County, KY, the son of the late Sam and Mary Lois Decker Cannon.

He retired from Escue Wood Preserving as a heavy equipment operator. He had also worked in different coal mines. Harry enjoyed hunting arrow heads, collecting guns, collecting antiques, riding motorcycles, four-wheelers and anything with wheels. He loved spending time with his grandkids. He was married to his wife, Rita Bush Cannon for 45 years. He was a member of First Apostolic Church in Millwood.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Cannon of Leitchfield; his children, Jerrod Cannon (Angela), Michael Cannon (Noelle), Matthew Cannon (Amy) and Leslie Decker (Derrek); six grandchildren, Sawyer, Stella, Case, Oliver, Elliot and Simon; sisters, Mary Lou Cannon and Georgia Williams (Farley); brothers, Felix Cannon (Jill) and Ricky Cannon; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Hillard Ray Cannon, Jerry Cannon and "Freck" Hulan Cannon and a sister, Alberta Nell Shartzer.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (June 19, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.  Burial will be in the First Apostolic Church Cemetery in Millwood.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
