Obituary
Harvey Stanton Jr., age 80, of Elizabethtown, KY passed away Monday, (November 20, 2006) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was born on July 25, 1926 in Hart County, KY the son of Harvey Sr. and Alberta Wooden Stanton. He was a World War II Veteran, a retired construction worker and was a member of the Broadford Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by four sons, Freelyn of Big Clifty, KY, Danny and Hans both of Sonora, KY and Douglas Stanton of Cecilia, KY, two daughters, Lois Murphy of Glendale, KY and Lisa Muegge of Missouri, two brothers, Lyndell of Clarkson, KY and Roma Stanton of Elizabethtown and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve and a brother, Hartsell Stanton, who was an MIA in the Korean War.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (November 25, 2006) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro Ed Dermitt will be officiating. Burial will be in the Lone Oak Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service.
