Hazel Marie Cox, age 74, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (May 13, 2024) at her home.

She was born on April 18, 1950 in Clarkson, KY, the daughter of the late Richmond and Stella Mangin Cox.

She was a line worker for Leggett and Platt, where she retired, who enjoyed horses, Elvis Presley, reading and watching movies. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her brother, Al Cox (Jackie) of Leitchfield; one niece, Stephanie Carnes (John) of Leitchfield; five great-nieces & nephews: Camron Lewis, Kate Lewis, Chris Carnes, Haylee Carnes & Noah Carnes; and a sister-in-law Carol Cox of Elizabethtown.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Danny Cox.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (May 16, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons is officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
