Hazel Ruth Saltsman, age 85, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (June 5, 2019) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on June 13, 1933 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late John and Della Mae Harp Saltsman.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She is survived by her husband; of 69 years, Nathan Saltsman, one son, Benny (Margaret) Saltsman, one daughter, Peggy (Dez) Simcoe, 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, her sister, Pauline Newton and her brother, James Owen Saltsman.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Sarah Newton, Dolly Wilson, Jewel West and Annie Haycraft.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (June 8, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Ed Cockriel and Jerry Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Blowtown Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
