Obituary
Hazel Vera Smith went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2016.
She was born on May 21, 1923. She is preceded in death by her parents, Cline and Etta Ward,
her sisters, Alta Haycraft, Lillian Grayson, and Margaret Mattingly, brothers Roy Ward, Mack Ward & Murrell Ward, and her beloved husband, Paul Smith.
She survived by her brother, Cliff Ward, her son & his wife, Mark & Brandy Smith, grandchildren, Matt, Rachel, Caleb, Josh, & Becca Smith. She was a devout Christian, homemaker, artist, Sunday school teacher, loving Mom, Grandma/ Nana, Sister, Aunt, & friend. She will be truly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday (September 15, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Dr. Barry Armstrong will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Creek cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
